For the second straight year NuZoo will be streaming Selichot live from Anshe Emet Synagogue in Chicago.
Tune in this Saturday, Sept. 5, at 9:45 pm CST: AnsheEmet.org/SelichotStreaming
Selichot (Hebrew: סליחות) are Jewish penitential poems and prayers, especially those said in the period leading up to the High Holidays, and on Fast Days. In the Ashkenazic tradition, it begins on the Saturday night before Rosh Hashanah.
“The liturgical and musical themes of the High Holy Days come to life in this service and I guarantee you will feel spiritually refreshed and prepared for the Days of Awe to come,” said Hazzan Alberto Mizrahi of Anshe Emet.
