The 'Zoo Wins A Davey Award

NuZoo Media has won multiple Horizon Interactive Awards.

NuZoo won a Bronze in the Education / Training category for the interactive, educational 10-CD series "Cancer Risk Reduction Through Dietary Intervention." The series was produced for the National Cancer Institute and Intersystems, Inc.

NuZoo also won a Bronze in the Flash caegory for its online, interactive Floor Plan.

The Floor Plan can be used for trade shows, conferences and other events. The floor plan:

shows a 3-D model of the venue
clearly lays out the entrance, aisles and booth location
distinguishes between available booths and sold booths
pops up windows with information on available booths and exhibitors
has e-commerce capability to buy booth space online
links to exhibitors' web sites
can be updated online by the show organizer/manager

NuZoo Media used video, audio, animation, graphics, original music and songs in the "Cancer Risk Reduction" CDs. The purpose is to educate and encourage lower income children 11-14 in healthier eating to reduce cancer risk. Interactive elements allow users to make choices that identify them as being part of one group and take them down one of three paths. Based on the users' choices, strategies, benefits, and stories are offered for encouragement and education. Key interactive elements include a menu planner for breakfast, lunch, dinner and a snack, and a drag and drop plate section enabling users to choose from more than 100 fruits and vegetables categorized in the program's five color choices.

The Horizon Interactive Awards are judged by people from all levels of the interactive media industry and other related fields. These are people that live and work in the industry on a daily basis; in addition, end-users and non-designers are also part of the judges panel. Judges look for the best blend between creativity and functionality.
