Taste of Chicago 2016 Starts July 6
The fabulous Taste of Chicago 2016 edition runs July 6 – 10, and tickets are on sale now.
Concerts feature The Roots, The Isley Brothers and Billy Idol among others. Concert seating tickets are limited to 10 tickets per concert. Lawn seating in Butler Field is FREE.
The Taste of Chicago 2016 restaurants include favorites Billy Goat Tavern & Grill, Connie’s Pizza, The Eli’s Cheesecake Co., Robinson’s No. 1 Ribs and Star of Siam. Diners can find everything from turkey legs and corn on the cob to rattlesnake & rabbit sausage and mustard-fried catfish.
The Taste of Chicago 2016 features 11 new Pop-up restaurants. There are also six new food trucks including Auntie Vee’s and Da Lobsta.
As the City of Chicago continues to demonstrate a robust culinary community of noted chefs, the city’s premier food festival continues its efforts to highlight these food masters as Taste of Chicago once again features Celebrity Chef du Jour.
Celebrity Chef du Jour includes Graham Elliot, Chef of Graham Elliot Bistro on July 6. Masterchef Junior Season 4 Winner Addison will be with him.
The dining experience offers attendees the opportunity to enjoy a sit-down, three-course meal in an air-conditioned and decorated dining pavilion for only $45 per person (limit 4 tickets per person).
Once again, students from the Washburne Culinary Institute will assist the chefs in preparation and serving dining patrons. Founded more than 76 years ago, Washburne Culinary Institute is one of the oldest culinary schools in the nation.
The Taste is the nation’s premier outdoor food festival showcasing the diversity of Chicago’s dining community. The delicious array of food served at The Taste is complemented by music and exciting activities for the entire family. Since 1980, Chicago’s Grant Park on the lakefront has been home to the world’s largest food festival.
