NuZoo Media Wins International Davey Award for Tourism Video
(Dec. 2008) NuZoo Media was charged with creating a video that would promote tourism in the Chicago Southland, not an easy feat when the competition includes Chicago, St. Louis, Indianapolis and other major Midwest cities. But through a blend of animation, FX, and visuals of the wonderful and worthy locales in the Chicago Southland itself, NuZoo succeeded. And in doing so won recognition of its own: a Silver International Davey Award.

Interactive company NuZoo Media has won a Silver International Davey Award for the inventive tourism video "Just Beyond the City Limits," produced for the Chicago Southland Convention & Visitors Bureau. This is the third straight year NuZoo has been honored with a Davey Award.

The Davey Awards exclusively honor the "Davids" of creativity, the finest small firms, agencies and companies in the world. The Davey Awards is the leading awards competition specifically for smaller firms, where firms compete with their peers to win the recognition they deserve.

"It's thrilling to be recognized by the Davey's," said NuZoo president Dan Pulik. "The team works hard to produce excellence for our clients, and it's gratifying to be awarded this honor, especially when the competition is so tough."

The Davey's received more than 4,000 entries from across the U.S. and around the world encompassing video, interactive multimedia, integrated and multimedia campaigns, marketing effectiveness, web sites, radio, advertising, print and collateral.

The Awards are judged and overseen by the International Academy of the Visual Arts (IAVA), an invitation-only member-based organization of leading professionals from various disciplines of the visual arts. Entries are judged to evaluate distinction in creative work.

NuZoo has previously won a Gold Davey Award for the interactive, educational 10-CD series "Cancer Risk Reduction Through Dietary Intervention" produced for the National Cancer Institute; and a Silver for the 3-D animated interactive product demo of Intrado’ Inc.'s database product for the 911 network.
